Help Make Orange Hunt Better
OHECA runs almost entirely through volunteers. A small amount of time from a few more neighbors can make a big difference in what our community can do.
Where We Need Help Most
Several key volunteer positions currently need someone to step forward. Some require an ongoing commitment, while others involve a few projects or activities each year. If you have the time and interest, we would love to talk with you.
President — Elected
Leads OHECA activities, chairs meetings, and helps set the association's priorities. The current term ends in Spring 2027.
Transportation
Monitors transportation projects and issues that affect Orange Hunt and helps the association engage with Fairfax County and other agencies when needed.
Membership
Coordinates the annual membership drive, works with the membership committee, communicates with members, and helps recruit new members.
Neighborhood Contests
Coordinates judging and prizes for the annual Beautiful Yard, Holiday Decor, and Halloween Decor contests.
Other Ways to Help
These positions have remained open for some time. They represent additional ways residents can contribute as volunteer capacity grows.
Architecture
Reviews requests for home improvements as needed.
Auditor
Reviews OHECA's books once a year. No accounting background is required.
Attorney — Pro Bono
Provides legal guidance to OHECA as needed.
CPA — Pro Bono
Provides accounting or tax guidance to OHECA as needed.
Newsletter
Collects articles and assembles the electronic newsletter.
Neighborhood Watch
Coordinates neighborhood watch activities and works with local law enforcement.
Fourth of July Parade
Plans, promotes, and recruits volunteers for the annual parade.

You do not need to take on a major position to help OHECA. Many projects can be completed on your own schedule, and we are always interested in residents who want to contribute their time, skills, or ideas.
